A facelift, or rhytidectomy, is a surgical procedure designed to reduce visible signs of aging in the face and neck. It addresses sagging skin, deep creases below the lower eyelids, folds along the nose extending to the corner of the mouth, and loose skin and excess fatty deposits under the chin and jaw.

Your Facelift Recovery Timeline
Patience is key during recovery. Dr. Velasco Marín and his team will provide detailed post-operative instructions to ensure a smooth and comfortable healing process.
Rest with head elevated. Bandages will be in place. Mild discomfort, swelling, and bruising are normal.
Follow-up appointment to remove sutures. Swelling and bruising peak and begin to subside. Light activity can be resumed.
Most swelling and bruising will have resolved. You can gradually return to non-strenuous work and social activities.
Final results become more apparent as residual swelling subsides. You can typically resume all normal activities, including exercise.
